Kilnsea last Sunday

An interesting days racing for the Raiders, the plan was always to mix things up and give the newer dogs a chance to race more...

So... if the notes are correct !..

Alfie - did great and think will have got enough points to get Flyball Dog Graduate, some great starts too !

Ozzie - first day of real racing and did not put a paw wrong and is over half way to Flyball Dog.

Toby - ooooo, so close to Flyball Dog !... 5 points short !... but the boy did good once he knew Mum was waiting at the end of the jumps !

Bruiser - Big thanks to Suzie for agreeing to try and run Bruiser in 3rd place, and he did so well ... but from now on he can go back to being last dog and we can work on Tobys ball dropping (and yes, the line judges were laughing at how far out from the first jump he was jumping from :-) )

Chewy - Wow, 60 points !... and she is fine after her bump with Alfie... im sooo proud of her... there is light at the end of the tunnel !. (Being a start dog may stop her chasing other dogs but she does get worn out quickly by false starts !).

Muttley - Was only ever going to be dog six, and the fact he was only used 4 times in 19 races shows how well all the other dogs did.

Seeded last, came last, you cant win them all !... cheers to everyone who raced, helped and turned up to see us race.

Ever turned upto a huge field full of flyballers (Shaun) and thought... "now where is my team?!".

Kilnsea Event Field, Lower Earley, Reading, Berkshire RG6 3UJ

With Oz and Tam wanting to try open racing and also Bruiser being back in action space in the Raiders team could go very quickly.

Please let me know if you want to race at this venue.

Also, any dogs in the Racers team interested in racing at this event let Chris or I know... there could be the option to put another team in if other competiters cannot make it to the new venue.

Competitions for July

July is quite a heavy month for Competitions. So as not to make it too onerous for everyone, Andy and I have decided to alternate the teams for comps a bit that month and also to just do relatively local ones.

17^th July – Anstey Park, Alton – Starters + Rooky Raiders

24^th July – Newlands Farm, Bath Road, Charvill, Reading  – Rooky Racers only

31^st July – Kings Meadow, Reading – Starters + Rooky Racers + Rooky Raiders

This is a good chance for the Starters to gain some more experience, with 2 competitions to go to in July.

The British Championships are on 19/20/21^st August at Arbury Hall in Nuneaton and we will be competing with Racers and Raiders, most likely on Saturday 20^th.
